As Reiko becomes more comfortable in her new home, she has begun to explore the premises in more detail.
When she first arrived, she spent her time hiding. Under the bed, beneath the dining table and even cowered under the revolving Recliner of Sloth where she risked getting squished if I revolved suddenly.
Gradually, she started to emerge from these nooks and walk around, sniffing the furniture and venturing into all the other rooms.

Except the laundry room. Like me, she has no idea what is supposed to happen in that odd room full of strange appliances,
Her most recent evolution is to explore things that she can actually dig into. Like waste baskets and clothes hampers. The bathrooms are especially fertile sources for interesting, and fragrant, stuff.
This does not spark joy with her DogDad who is already tired of cleaning up all the bits and pieces of paper and detritus that Reiko has purloined and scattered with abandon all over the humble abode.

I realize that this is a good sign indicating increased confidence and feelings of security on her part. I just wish Reiko-chan had not discovered all the fun things that can be done with a roll of toilet paper.
Yes, when pulled, it does seem to go on forever, little explorer.

Love to hear from ya
