A life’s winding path and all the experiences along the way…

Recent Stuff

For quite a few years the Freshpet Holiday Feast video featuring rascally dogs and a Godfather-like cat had been a staple on my silly dog blog.

While exceedingly clever when first introduced in 2014, AI has since made this classic video seem a bit outdated.

Still, I cannot watch it without a smile breaking out, and it brings back good memories and so at the risk of boring your turkey off, here once more is the beloved “Holiday Feast.”

I hope your Thanksgiving Day was wonderful.

I was hoping you would find this again…not for Thanksgiving in my case but ready for Christmas.

I actually imagined your canine horde while watching this video. I can picture Black Tot and the gang stuffing their little doggie faces and getting up to shenanigans. I don’t know if you have a local cat who could stand in as Godfather but, hey, cats are largely fungible. Maybe you could borrow one from Lois. She has thousands.

White Paws is ready and able! Let me know, Helen! 😹

Do they do cat sized suits of armour?

          1. lois Avatar

White Paws is the only male among my five cats. Armour is his middle name.

I thought “Intimidated” was his middle name.

            Do you mean armor?

I had saved a post of yours with this video attached. We know that was always Teemu at the head of the table. 😹

Exactly my thought. It was Teemu. It was always Teemu. The Catfather

I hate the mobile version of WP even more than I hate the browser version. “Anonymous?” I write the frickin blog.

heh heh. Reiko’s revenge. You have Jetpack? I have seen a lot of ‘anonymous’ on other blogs. I wonder if using that is the reason. I am technically challenged so sitting in front of my computer is the easiest way for me to go. I do nothing on my phone but text and make/get calls.

Yeah, you pretty much have to go with Jetpack but I am still not sure exactly what huge benefits it offers. Fiddling around with the mobile version is tricky because things don’t appear on the screen like they do in the edit mode. Ask me how I found that out.

Your new format says it will save my information for each time I post, but it makes me type in my data anyway. Not the smartest of sites, I’m afraid.

AI ain’t got nuthin’ on real life doggies.

Sorry…I agree I made a dumb site but consider who made it. I’m slowly trying to improve it. Do you access on mobile or browser? I will dig into the Widget that handles Comments and see if it has settings that can be manipulated or if I can add a little code to make that stop but no promises.

Don’t worry about it. It’s not worth the frustration! 😆. Just keep sharing Reiko’s adventures. ❤️

Carolyn… I thought of you yesterday…the National Dog Show informed me that “Cooper” is the most popular dog name in North Dakota and Delaware! Nationally it was Bella. Now maybe someone can explain to me why the Frenchie Bulldog is the most popular dog breed in the US. OK, they’re cute but in my mind they can’t beat the Golden Retriever and Lab. (Or Mauzer…added for Reiko’s benefit if she reads the blog.)

Aw. That’s so great! I think it’s a pretty popular name these days, but eons ago when I named him, I don’t think it was popular.

Yes, that is interesting. We had a lab named Pepper and a Golden Retriever Chow mix named Stetson years ago. They were such great dogs, too! 🙂

I’m sure she DOES read your blog. 😉

Love to hear from ya
