Tomorrow is our 5th month anniversary here at Chez Roommate.
We’ve fallen into a routine.
That’s good, I guess, because Miss Reiko now has a predictable life with none of the deprivations of her earlier days. Good food, treats, a house to run around in, safety and a nice bed at night.
Best of all, no rent and she doesn’t even have to recognize my existence.
Has there been progress in our relationship of late? Not much.
She’s more comfortable with going outside and relaxing on the patio and wandering about sniffing in the backyard.
On matters of elimination, she exchanged the camellia bush for a gravel area on the side of the house. That’s good for me because I don’t have to do a Dora the Explorer routine hunting down Mauzer nuggets in the flower beds.
We’ve gotten food schedules and preferences down pat.
When I must go out she no longer goes berserk with anxiety. She will still trash the house a little, but it’s a more manageable scale.
Once caught, she will accept a bath with only limited violence directed towards me.
Ho hum. Not much to say. Life goes on.
Love to hear from ya
